Siphonochilus Aethiopicus commonly known as African Ginger is a plant with large hairless leaves, developing annually from a small distinctive cone shaped rhizome. Popular in the Natal, Indungulo(Zulu) has a long history in the African tradition for its medicinal uses. Traditionally used to relieve menstrual cramps, premenstrual syndrome, hot flushes and abdominal pain.
